Yes- the name is ridiculous. It does have meaning though!… Torridon was my latest hike, and you can enjoy my favourite photographs from that trip here. I’ll be returning to Wester Ross and the Highlands soon- ideally within the next month or so… it truly is a magical place. If you’re interested in doing the hike yourself, you can see my Walkhighlands report for it here. Personally I prefer the video format that I put my photos in (if only for my music choice- though that’s a bit biased! 😁)
Anyway, photographs aside- I figure I should include a bit of an update on life. Since finishing Uni, I’ve done… nothing! I mean, I’ve been coding- but catching COVID slowed me down… my parents gave me it (hah- England) and I was bedridden for 8 days. After that, I was still barely functional for a week. Two weeks of setbacks (plus another week associated with moving and the like) gave me a net loss of three weeks! That’s a lot of time, and now I’m stuck picking up the difference.
What am I coding you ask? Well, I’m working on publishing my MSc thesis. Need to publish something to get a PhD, am I right? At the moment, that code equates to ADQL queries to get a better dataset to process- it’s not going well however- we’ll see how it progresses, but the limitations of Gaia (in that parallax is only so good up to a certain distance) is certainly starting to bite a bit.
With that all said, I’ll be concluding this post (aye- the shortest one on the site!…) I’m not in the greatest place mentally at the moment, so I figure that just plugging my latest photographs and being on my way is for the best. Wish me luck, and off I go! It’s two AM and I have to work 😅
