Dalwhinnie and Alder Estate, Summer 2023

Celebrating the first three months of my new job, I enjoyed three nights of wildcamping up in the Ben Alder estate, taking in The Fara and Beinn a’ Chlachair by Loch Pattack. I’ve thrown in a pair of shots from Kingussie Rail Station, where I had to wait several hours for a connection after I got off at the wrong stop; Dalwhinnie is apparently a request stop on the Caledonian Sleeper. I’d planned on taking in the two other munros south-east of Beinn a’ Chlachair, but late summer heat flared my urological condition and I had to take a rest day, preventing this sadly!
