Cairngorms National Park, Autumn 2024
During the Autumn of 2024, I enjoyed a three-night walk from Blair Atholl to Glen Feshie, covering six munros in the process and enjoying a stop at the Tarf Hotel. Unfortunately I also got urosepsis as a complication from my urological problems by the end of the walk, which meant that after reaching the hostel in Dalwhinnie I ended up taking a nice trip to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. I also had the pleasure of crossing a landslip on the last day of my walk, which had wiped out the path down the northern side of Glen Feshie; it was not pleasant to do this in the dark. If I hadn’t clung so desperately to the heather when crossing the top of the slip, you might have read a newspaper about a fool who froze to death in the river below! On the flip side, I got a few good stories out of it all! There’s a few bonus pictures from Aviemore that I took while recovering before coming home.
