It does have meaning though!&#8230; Torridon was my latest hike, and you can enjoy my favourite photographs from that trip <a href=\"https:\/\/straszaks.co.uk\/?phort_post=achnashellach-torridon\">here<\/a>. I&#8217;ll be returning to Wester Ross and the Highlands soon- ideally within the next month or so&#8230; it truly is a magical place. Since finishing Uni, I&#8217;ve done&#8230; <em>nothing!<\/em> I mean, I&#8217;ve been coding- but catching COVID slowed me down&#8230; my parents gave me it (hah- England) and I was bedridden for 8 days. After that, I was still barely functional for a week. Two weeks of setbacks (plus another week associated with moving and the like) gave me a net loss of three weeks! That&#8217;s a lot of time, and now I&#8217;m stuck picking up the difference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What am I coding you ask? Well, I&#8217;m working on publishing my MSc thesis. Need to publish something to get a PhD, am I right? At the moment, that code equates to ADQL queries to get a better dataset to process- it&#8217;s not going well however- we&#8217;ll see how it progresses, but the limitations of Gaia (in that parallax is only so good up to a certain distance) is certainly starting to bite a bit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that all said, I&#8217;ll be concluding this post (aye- the shortest one on the site!&#8230;) I&#8217;m not in the greatest place mentally at the moment, so I figure that just plugging my latest photographs and being on my way is for the best.
