This will be a fairly random nonsense-post, so bare with me. It might seem like a rather odd post to grab on this site, given I’ve painted myself as a physicist\/photographic enthusiast thus far… but it’s dawned on me: my girlfriend happens to love stamps.<\/em> I never saw her as someone who’d indulge in philately, but here we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now obviously when I discovered this, I ran to the internet and foolishly bought \u00a3150 worth of vintage stamps. A fair few were from pre-1970, which I’ve now discovered aren’t actually legible for postage- the others are fine though, so that’s good. I doubt the SLC envisaged my use of the student loan being in the purchase of stacks of stamps, but then again, I also used their funds to invest in vinyls, inks, and various other nonsense \ud83d\ude01<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, the RM charge exorbitant delivery fees for those 1p\/2p\/5p\/etc-p make-up value stamps. I regret not just buying them discounted online, which you can do. <\/em>Seems like I got shafted, really. Poled up like… a pole- matches myself, given I’m mostly Polish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyhow, thus far there’s been no mention of the calligraphy, and I try to avoid disappointing anyone but my parents, so here you go! Though if you’re astute, you’ll have noticed the calligraphy at the bottom of the website, so I guess you should have already been sated!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why mention calligraphy you ask? Well, I often get asked about why my handwriting (the non-rushed regular version of it- sorry Profs who mark my exams) resembles old-style calligraphic writings. I salvaged my rotten old handwriting, which at one point had me typing exams for A-Levels, by using dip nibs to practice. The cards I include to my lady regularly always include a sweet calligraphic note- as do my festive cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of which, if you do want me to mail you one of these letters, just shoot me a message. I’ll even throw in a photograph for you (though it’ll be random) and do it postcard style, just the way I do it for my lady! (though there won’t be any intimate romance involved for it, I’m afraid.) You can tell I’m desperately looking for an excuse to buy more stamps.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
